ग्रेटर नोएडा, 24 सितंबर 2026 । यमुना एक्सप्रेस-वे पर जेवर एयरपोर्ट Jewar Airport के पास बुधवार देर रात चलती स्लीपर एसी बस में अचानक भीषण आग लग गई। हादसे में एक महिला समेत नौ यात्रियों की जिंदा जलकर मृत्यु हो गई। बस में करीब 35 यात्री सवार बताए जा रहे हैं। हादसे के बाद कई यात्रियों ने खिड़कियां तोड़कर बस से छलांग लगाकर जान बचाई।
जानकारी के मुताबिक हादसा रात करीब 12 बजे जेवर एयरपोर्ट से करीब दो किलोमीटर दूर हुआ। बस महोबा जा रही थी। एक्सप्रेस-वे पर चलते समय अचानक बस में आग लग गई और देखते ही देखते आग ने पूरी बस को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। आग की लपटें देखकर यात्रियों में चीख-पुकार और भगदड़ मच गई।
कई यात्रियों ने समय रहते खिड़कियां तोड़कर बाहर छलांग लगा दी। हालांकि, कुछ यात्री आग में फंस गए। सूचना पर फायर ब्रिगेड और पुलिस की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं और काफी मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया। पुलिस के अनुसार, मृतकों में एक महिला और आठ पुरुष शामिल हैं।
आग लगने के कारणों की जांच की जा रही है। बस में सवार अन्य यात्रियों की स्थिति और घायलों की संख्या की भी जानकारी जुटाई जा रही है।
Greater Noida, September 24, 2026. Jewar Airport on Yamuna Expressway A major fire broke out in a moving sleeper AC bus near Jewar Airport late on Wednesday night. Nine passengers, including a woman, were charred to death in the accident. There were around 35 passengers in the bus. After the accident, many passengers broke the windows and jumped out of the bus to save their lives. According to the information, the accident took place around 12 noon, about two kilometers away from Jewar Airport. The bus was going to Mahoba. While walking on the expressway, the bus suddenly caught fire and the fire engulfed the entire bus. There was a hue and cry among the passengers on seeing the flames. Many passengers broke windows in time and jumped out. However, some passengers were caught in the fire. On being informed, police and Fire personnel reached the spot and initiated efforts to douse the flames. The police dead include one woman and eight men. The cause of the fire is being investigated. The condition of the other passengers on the bus and the number of injured is also being investigated.
